This is our experience of walking the Herriot Way.
After doing many walks across Yorkshire at weekends we decided to be a little more ambitious and do the Herriot Way. This would be the first time to do a walk of 4 days.
Preparation
Not having done a walk that lasted more than one day we were having to make decisions on how we would do the walk and what we would take with us.
A list was made, with the obvious materials we would need. Ruck sacks, torch, medical kit, water proof gear etc.. Also on what food we should carry as we were going with Bella, (Kelpie of 10 years)

The HERRIOT WAY is a circle of around 52 miles that has 4 points around 13 miles apart, that can be used as a stopover for the following day. I rang several places a week before going and found 4 Inns/Pubs and 1 yurt where we could stop the night. We were driving, so had to leave the car somewhere for the 4 days.
Keld Bunk Barn & Yurst kindly said we could leave the car there for the duration of the walk.

Magnifique
